Clogged Dryer Vent
Dryer Vent Fire
Dryer After Vent Fire
HI Folks!
I wanted to take a moment to really stress the importance of cleaning lint and debris from your entire dryer vent system regularly. Dirty dryer vents are a leading cause of household fires and are so, SO very easy to prevent. Your entire vent system from the Dryer to the outside termination point should be cleaned AT LEAST once a year in an average household. As well, you should check and clean both your connecting flex hose from the dryer to the vent pipe along with the dryer exhaust port at least every couple months. These often overlooked and forgotten common-sense maintenance strategies can quickly result in a devastating fire costing terrible loss of life and property.
Seriously folks, whether you’re a DIY'er or you hire a professional such as Vac-A-Vent please, PLEASE heed my advice. I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve cleaned dryer vents with charred or even smoldering lint so very close to becoming a full-on fire. Take measures to protect your home and Loved ones today. Get your dryer vent cleaned right away and moving forward make sure to have them cleaned at regular appropriate intervals at a minimum of every 12 months if not more frequently. Never, EVER leave a dryer running if you leave home or when you’re sleeping. Always be mindful of a dryer in operation. A fire can start and spread so very quickly. Be sure to eliminate as much of the risk as possible.
Do feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Many Thanks,
Cheers!!
